My Path To Philadelphia

Hello, my name is Jessica Crowe and I was elected at the Colorado State convention to be an At-Large National Delegate for Bernie Sanders. I am so excited to be a part of this historic experience!

A little bit about me, I am the mom of two boys and two rescue dogs. I just graduated from Georgetown University with a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Which is a really fancy way of saying I’m now thousands of dollars in debt to student loans. I am also working on my Aromatherapist certification with an emphasis in French Aromatherapy.

I became a Bernie Sanders supporter after he announced his candidacy for presidency. Like many others, I was just going to vote for Hillary, because I didn’t know any better. But over the last year my eyes have been opened wider and wider. I realized that all of Bernie’s platform issues are in agreement with my own moral values. I became a founding member of Bernie’s Super Pack and have been donating to him monthly. But, I truly received the calling when a request came to my email that the campaign needed Caucus Captains. That was all it took and I have been drawn in and hooked. Through the caucus process I was elected to my county, congressional district and state conventions, then the call came that I was elected to the Democratic National Convention!!!

The cost of this convention is enormous, because hotels are at a premium. I already have secured two roommates to decrease the cost. I also purchased my plane ticket to ensure I received a cheaper fare. But I still need help to cover the cost of everything. Bernie Delegates have the opportunity to help sway Hillary Delegates and Superdelegates to change their votes and vote for Bernie. I plan to use my power of persuasion to accomplish just that.

So please help me raise $2500 to help Bernie Sanders win the nomination and become the next President of the United States!!

The Money

It will cost $4,000 - $6,000 per delegate to make the trip. The city jacks up the (mandatory) hotel prices so our room alone will cost over $2000. I will have saved around $1800 by July, so my donation goal is $3200. All monies donated will be used for the DNC and the many supporting activities surrounding the event.
